Welcome Spring & Summer

Welcome Spring and Summer: Time for that Summer Haircut

Yes, it was a mild winter, but it was also a long one.  Right about now you are probably wondering if that furry creature hogging your sofa is long lost "Cousin It" or your once adorable family pooch.  No doubt it is time to shed the dreads so bring your pets to Mountain Tails Grooming Trailer for some much needed TLC.  Trust us.  Your cute pooch is under there somewhere.

5 Good Reasons to Get Your Dog Professionally Groomed

  • Trouble free nail trimming
  • Enjoyable massage (for your dog)
  • Decrease in Allergy Symptoms
  • Cousin It was never really that cute
  • And most of all, the best reason to get your dog professionally groomed is because it is sticky, gooey, smelly, matted, shedding, poopy, gross, and things are living in its fur and you are afraid to touch it.
Mountain Tails has many exciting announcements in this Spring & Summer Newsletter. Don't miss out on all that is happening.

Health and Well-Being

The Health Risks of Sleeping With Your Pets by Leader of the Pack

A recent warning from the CDC suggests that sleeping with one's pet can be hazardous. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 60 percent of all human pathogens could have been transmitted by an animal. An axample of this is roundworms. Pet owners can be infected with roundworms or other parasites when they come into contact with dog or cat waste. In case you were unaware, human roundworm infections, though rare, can cause blindness, among other problems.

I have had a word with my pets about the seriousness of this matter and I suggest others do the same. My dogs have sworn that from now on they would wash their paws and brush their fangs completely before partaking in any night time snuggling. And I have promised to do do the same before kissing them goodnight.
